CONFIDENCE IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS

1st John 1:7 (AMPC) says, "If we really are living and walking in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have true and unbroken fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us clean from sin and all its forms and manifestation].

1 John 1:9 (AMPC) says, "If we freely admit that we have sinned and confessed our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His Own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].”

Let’s first look at the definition for the word, “continuously” as written in the “Strong’s New Testament Greek Dictionary”.

• : "Uninterrupted actions or activity". So then, when this word is used in our referenced Scripture, I get the image of the Blood of Jesus cleansing us from all unrighteousness in and ongoing manner, like the waters of Niagara Falls – Never Stopping, but Always Flowing.

• has a different meaning from the word, “continually”. The word, "continually" is an ongoing action occurring in a manner like the waves of the ocean that occurs in "intervals".

Take another look at what Verse 7 says about what His Blood does in our lives: "… the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son … keeps us cleansed from sin..."

This is one of the reasons why I am convinced that, “we can live and move about daily, without any sense of guilt or unworthiness.”

As I develop confidence in Jesus' Blood and the Completed Work of His Cross, I am able to walk (daily) as Jesus walked.

This is when, Philippians 4:13 becomes a reality in my life, where NO - THING is impossible to or for me. That’s living the daily lifestyle of a man who has a consciousness of his completed "Righteousness", because of the Blood Of Jesus.

Although he walked under the Old Covenant between God and Abraham, King David said in 2nd Samuel 22:21, "The Lord rewarded me according to my rightness with Him..." (See also: Vs.24-25)

Then take a look at what King David wrote as recorded in Psalms 144:1 (AMPC) "... the Lord (Who is my Strength) teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight." When there is NO sense of guilt, shame or unworthiness; a righteous man can fight and win every battle. When a righteous person who is confident in their Blood-given-Righteousness, that person knows that their faith is strong to receive from the Lord at any time. With that person who is developing “confidence in the Blood”; there is something else happening to their faith. The reality that, NOTHING (No Thing) is any longer impossible for him or to her, gets stronger and stronger.

Here is just a small list of other “benefits” that we can experience on a daily basis, as we develop a STRONG “Confidence in the Blood of Jesus”: And remember, whenever I use the word – “he”, I also mean – “she”. And age has NO place here either:

• His confidence is in the Blood Of The Covenant.

• He knows that, ''Greater is He Who is in him than he (or any circumstance or situation he may be facing) that is in the world".

• By faith in the cleansing Power of the Blood Of Jesus, he knows that when he speaks to a mountain, (any natural situation or issue that is blocking progress) the mountain will be removed.

• He knows that he has whatsoever he says, and he knows that it must come to pass.

• He has confidence that the Lord (his God / Father) confirms every word that HIS (cleansed servant) speaks.

• By developing more faith in the Blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, we will lose confidence in the works of the devil to keep us from walking in our Blood Covenant rights and privileges. is having faith and confidence in the works and abilities of the devil than in the Blood of Jesus.

I believe that although Jesus walked on this earth in the Old Covenant and under the blood of animal sacrifice, He knew that He was clean because of the “covering” power of the animal's blood.

And like King David knew, Jesus knew that He was in right standing with God because of the blood of the animal sacrifices. This might sound somewhat unconventional to think this way, but remember, although Jesus was “ALL GOD and ALL MAN”; when Jesus walked on this earth He identified Himself as “son of man” and He walked daily in the Old Covenant that was between God and Abraham.

The sicknesses and diseases that were around at Jesus’ time, and the demons and devils that were around at His time; knew that Jesus was in right standing with God. Jesus also did what He did because He always was aware of the TRUTH that He was in right standing with God. And He did all of this while living under the Old Covenant ratified by the blood of animals. How much more is available to you and me in the New Covenant that was ratified by Blood of Jesus. Demons and devils obeyed the voice and the touch of Jesus, because they knew that He was in right standing with God. They (devils, things and demons) will obey us also, because they know that we are in right standing with God by the Blood of Jesus. All we have to constantly do is develop a full and total understanding and realization that we really, truly, and totally are “the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”.  (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).

And the “list of benefits” continues:

• The Power of the Blood of Jesus to reconcile and reunite “”, is any of the works of the devil to divide and maintain division. ()

• (To parody a childhood nursery rhyme)

  • The Blood of the Cross the Power to do for that all the King's horses and all the King's men could not do.

  • The Blood of the Cross of Jesus puts things back together again as if they were never, ever broken.

• The blood of the animals merely “” the people's acts and deeds of unrighteousness, and enabled them to be able to live with God they were in right standing with him.

• But, the Blood of Jesus our acts and deeds of unrighteousness, His Blood us into . So the Blood of Jesus us on the inside and us from any and all unrighteousness.

I was reminded of the question that the Lord asked me when He brought me out of the dark lifestyle in which I was living in 1980. He said to me: “Is your lifestyle that you are living now, all MY Blood means to you?" And at that time of my life, my lifestyle was totally reflecting all that the Blood of Jesus really meant to me - pretty much nothing. But going forward from that time, by the help of the Holy Spirit, my lifestyle began to reflect more and more of what the Blood of Jesus truly means to me. Some of which were listed in the above bullet points.

Later on in around 1985, the Lord had a very interesting conversation early one morning when I began my prayer time before going to work. As usual, I started off my prayer with: “Lord, please forgive me for the lifestyle I lived for so long”. I said that a couple more times and I was surprised at what I heard inside my spirit (not on the outside with my natural ears). I heard the Voice of the Lord say: “SHUT UP!” I was shocked, but I started in again the same way; when He said it again. I said, “But Lord, I just want You to forgive me for the sinful lifestyle I’ve lived”. That’s when He said: “SHUT UP! I forgave you back when you asked me the first time. And I have forgotten about that lifestyle. So, would you please STOP trying to remind Me?” I forgave you, settled it with Myself, and I’ve forgotten it. What you (Sam) need to do is settle it with yourself and go settle it with the devil; because I’ve settled it with Myself”. It finally sank in. When I confess; He forgives, forgets and settles it. In the heart of the Lord, I am “TOTALLY CLEAN” and He will treat me from that point on as if the sins NEVER even happened. And I can honestly say that from that morning till today, I’ve NEVER mentioned that past life to the Lord again. My entire prayer-life changed from that moment on. He taught His new kid something that morning that totally changed my entire life and I’ve walked in that “lesson” since. Thank the Lord for the Blood of Jesus.

Do you remember the incident between King David and the Amalekites? (1 Samuel 30) It was the blood of animals under the Old Covenant that gave David the ability to win all of his wars. Think about how much David recovered from that enemy, just because of the covenant made in the blood of the animals.

This can be powerful information for all those who have had a few “spots, blemishes, and dings” on their lives and their thinking. In 1 Samuel 22, there is a group of men whom I call – The men of, "3-D'Ville". Some of these men were “in distress”, some were “in debt” and others WERE “discontent (bitter in their souls)”. But these men came to join ranks with King David – the giant killer. And when you continue reading in 1 Samuel, you will find that many of these men learned how to fight and they became known as some of the “Mighty Men of David”. All of which was done under the Old Covenant which was ratified in the blood of animals. Just think of what can happen in our lives today, since we are living in the New Covenant which is ratified in the Blood of Jesus.

The Blood of the Cross purges our consciousness from all of those “spots, dings, and mess-ups”. (Hebrews 9:13-14) And the Blood of the Cross makes us daily powerful men and women who are standing righteously before God the Father / Jehovah.

Heb. 9:17-22 says a lot about the purpose of the "blood of the Old Covenant" that was shed by animals. And it compares that to the Blood of Jesus and the New Covenant.

The blood of the animal was the – “blood of the Covenant (the last will and testament)” that (sealed the deal) and ratified and put into effect that will of the testator.

In other words, (legally speaking):

Jehovah gave His FINAL and TOTAL CONSENT to the OATHS and PROMISES of HIS WILL for the Israelites, and He GUARANTEED HIS consent with the blood of the animal's sacrifice. That same "legal action" was done with the BLOOD of Jesus with the New Covenant (God's Will) for the Body Of Christ (us).

There is NO WAY anyone (satan) can make changes or alter the "WILL" after the "Testator" (God in Christ Jesus) has died. Satan wants to "contest this WILL", but he can't make changes to IT. Our part and our job is to deny all of his statements of "contest", and refuse to accept anything that he presents. And to do this effectively, we have to KNOW the Testator (God) and KNOW His thinking about us.

So let’s get busy with learning more about what is IN the Lord’s Will; and in that way we will successfully enjoy all of the Benefits Granted to us by The Blood of Jesus Christ through the New Covenant – New Testament. I like the advice given to us all by King David that is recorded in Psalm 103:2 Amplified Classic Bible:

“Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits --…”

Confidence in the Blood – and ONLY the Blood – of Jesus and His Completed Works at the Cross, is essential and possible for every Born Again Believer each and every day of our lives.
